For this typography post, I chose to use the title for American Horror Story. Type is very important in design and this typeface fits the show's content. This font is called Willow and the show actually purchased the typeface specifically for use on the show. I think that this typeface is, in a way, synonymous with the show. If someone familiar with the show saw anything written in this typeface, they would probably instantly connect the two. This happens often when popular shows use one specific font. Also, the font has a creepy, carnival like feel which goes well with the show. It would be a little strange if the show used a different font like a script font for example. I personally like this typeface for this specific show but I feel like if it were used for something else like a restaurant name or a bank name it would definitely feel out of place.
