Paris-based Vincent Callebaut Architectures in collaboration with the Indian agroecologist Amlankusum unveiled the design of "Hyperions', the new Agritectural Garden Towers for Jaypee Greens Sports CIty in New Delhi, India. The design is for a self-sustaining urban utopia that grows organic food and produces more energy than it consumes. The designers aim is to reconcile urban renaturation and small-scall farming with environment protection and biodiversity. The structure is built from wood found in the Delhi forest while the indoor furniture is made from natural materials like tamarind and sandalwood. The colors of this architecture is what initially caught my eye and I believe this project, which should be completed in 2020, will be a great benefit to society.
