The sunkist orange soda logo is a good example of using typography to mimic the product that is being sold. The letters are think, bubbly and curly- there is a sense of playfulness here that mimics the product- a bubbly sweet soda. The leaf replacing implies freshness, and the name itself is just a different way of spelling “sunkissed”, implying that this soda, that contains no juice, came from oranges grown under the sun. The logo tried to appear fresh and natural, despite being for a beverage that contains high fructose corn syrup and lots of food colorings. The colors work well together, and the sun behind it again makes it appear bright and fresh.
