This is an infographic displaying information about the amount of plastic that ends up in our oceans. it serves to tell the viewer how much plastic is getting into the oceans and what we can do to clean up our seas. The simple complementary (blue and orange) color scheme emphasizes the numbers, which are also the biggest font size. The number eight is even larger than the title, which gets the viewers attention and informs them that eight million tons of plastic goes into the ocean every year. The big scary numbers on the graphic are meant to worry the viewer about the future of the oceans. First the viewer sees that negative things on the graphic, and then as they look closer they see the bottom left section which talks about what can be done to limit the amount of new plastic that gets into the ocean and reduce the amount that is already there. #forsocialgood
