This is the logo for the United States Women's Nation Soccer Team (USWNT). I chose this design because I really enjoy watching soccer, it's one of my favorite sports, and the USWNT is my favorite team to watch. The design uses red, white, and blue which is expected since that is the US's national colors. Part of the logo resembles a flag. The designer did this just by the use of stripes and color. Although stars are a part of the US flag that we all think about when thinking of the flag, the use of stars was not necessary to convey the message. The designer also decided to use two sentences. I think that the use of all caps and the period at the end of each line gives the words more impact. If it were written without punctuation or if it just had a capital at the beginning of the line, I don't think that the logo would be as firm, impactful, and aggressive as it is.
