This is an environmental design that I thought was very interesting. It separates walking paths depending on what you are doing. I think this is a funny idea but it is also very helpful. We all know the struggle of getting stuck walking behind someone who is going much slower than you want to walk. This could help solve that issue. In actuality, however, I don't know how effective this design would be in the real world. For one, two people could be considered walking and therefore would go in the "walk" lane but one could still be moving slower than the other. In addition to that, I don't think that most people would pay attention to the labels. If most people were walking, there may not be enough space for everyone in the "walk" lane so people would start drifting into the "run" lane. I think that this is a really cool and interesting design but I don't think that it would actually work in the way that it is intended.
