This poster is comical because it is not only explaining typographic sins, it is showing a handful of them in the title. Doing this was really effective and caught my attention almost immediately. Each number explains a "sin" in typography and underneath briefly explains the sin, what makes it so bad, and show what they are talking about. The design is really straight to the point and a little bland, however, I think it adds to the meaning of the poster and makes the information more effective.
