This example of "identity" is the logo for app, Instagram. Like most examples of identity, this logo is very effective in informing the viewer immediately what app it represents. This logo has an image on it that resembles a Polaroid camera. This is in reference to the main point of Instagram, which is taking and sharing pictures. So these designs are both very recognizable and informative.
