This is the logo for YouTube. YouTube is a very popular site that has grown so much over the past decade. I chose to post about this because I spend a lot of time on YouTube for anything from tutorials on how to do something to watching something just to pass the time. The red play button is an icon that is very recognizable. Even without the word "YouTube" next to it, I think that most people would be able to recognize the play button alone. The logo was changed to this back in 2017 in order to be more adaptable to smaller screens. On smaller screens, such as smartphones, the red play button is the only thing that is shown to represent the site. I think that this was a good, practical design move considering the popularity of smartphones in today's society.
