While I couldn't find the creator of this design, I did find it interesting. It is another ground design, in this case aiming to remind people to be alert when crossing the street. I'm from Raleigh where there a plenty of crosswalks that aid pedestrians in getting around the city, and I'm still shocked at how many people I used to see staring down at their phones when crossing the street not paying attention. In fact, I still see that here in Boone, specifically the cross walk across River St. that connects the Peacock parking lot to Wey Hall and the Schaffer Center. Students all day long crossing with their eyes to the ground or on their phones, which is pretty dangerous considering I've seen people run that red light before. I think this is an effective design because of how bold it is and how it stands out between the repetitive white and black bars.
