Another simple, yet most likely overlooked, design that we encounter in our daily lives. It plays an extremely important role in everyone's lives and keeps the roads from being littered with crashed cars and injured pedestrians. Its simple design if efficient in catching our attention with the white typeface on a bright red background, and the big bold letters are also well designed to stick out to oncoming traffic. Since this version of the stop sign was passed into law in the 70's, this design is now standard across all 50 states. Other variations, but still similar in appearance, can be found in various countries.
