This is the packaging and logo for the "Men's" brand old spice. Old Spice is known for their men's shower and grooming products that are marketed towards masculinity and smelling masculine. I personally enjoy the scents that old spice provides and use their deodorant because it seems to work better than most feminine deodorant products. One thing that is offputting about the company itself is how it markets towards masculinity and promotes toxic masculinity within our society. The packaging uses a ruby red color which red is usually associated with men and masculinity and the names of the scents typically have names that are meant to catch the eyes of men. Besides these personal problems, I have with Old Spice as a company I believe that their logo and overall design of their products are very well made and are indeed eye-catching. Instead of having an overly simplified logo like a lot of companies have for shower products, there is a lot of complexity that makes the design pleasing to the eye.
