This is the logo for the Sustainability Office at App State which is a department of this University that regulates and tries to help promote sustainability within our school's community and the community of Boone itself. I hope to be able to work with the sustainability office at some point in my college career by volunteering with them. I think the design itself is designed well because the graphic shows the action of self-sustainability by showing a scale that also looks like a simplified human figure balancing money and a leaf. Which helps promote the idea of treating them equally in able to progress self-sustainability for our local community, being able to value local owned businesses and relying on our own resources rather than letting big corporate businesses take over what we should be able to do without them. I think the font is a bit boring but it doesn't have to be extremely interesting as it needs to appear professional due to what it represents. I think everything has its own established hierarchy and I can tell what's most important just by viewing the design. Sometimes it's best to get designs more simple so that they appear more professional, more creative and fun designs are best for businesses that are trying to promote creativity and draw in consumers.
