Joshua Koontz #19 Typography

This is the storefront signage from a Dollar Tree in Winston Salem. I saw this the other day while I was visiting my family over the weekend. The typography of this advertisement effectively caught my attention, as it stood out significantly when compared to the other typefaces on the other posters. The word "wow" specifically does a great job of reeling in attention, and the sans serif font that follows it on the bottom half does a great job of advertising the bulbs without making them feel entirely cheap. If the entire poster had been made in the same font as the word "wow" it would have portrayed the bulbs as being very cheaply made. It also would have been much harder to take seriously if the entire poster had been in that font, as it would have a much goofier and comic type appearance.
