Leah Roper, Post 38

The words on this poster, created by Ralph Emerson, is what made me choose this for a post.  Growing up, I was always told by my dad that the things I do in life should be for God, no matter how long we have.  Life today is consumed by getting the perfect picture for Instagram, impressing the people around you, and when the next piece of technology will be released, rather than what means the most.  To myself, life means living to praise out Savior, making others around me happy no matter if they like me or not, and creating art, more specifically, design.  This quote can relate to anyones beliefs in any capacity.  The typography used in this is a bold, san serif font, which adds to the meaning of living your life in whatever time you have to the depth you give.  It is also dragged down by a black drop shadow that falls off of the page.  This is a successful piece in making people really think how they are spending time on this earth from the quote, but also choosing the best typeface in order to get that point across, fast.
