This is my latest food/drink obsession, Arnold Palmer. It is a southern style lemonade tea, and I absolutely love the colors and typography on the can. You have a classic scene of a man enjoying his iced drink with his dog on the font porch of his home, with bright happy colors. The words Arnold Palmer are not in any particular typeface, instead it is the actual signature of Arnold Palmer, the famous American gold player who created the drink. (he always ordered his tea a certain way, and a lady at a nearby table asked a waiter for "that Arnold Palmer drink"). I also think it is neat how they used different colors in the words "half & half sweet tea pink lemonade". It adds a lot more visual interest, and the yellow goes with the lemonade while the pink represents the tea. The white outline of the letters also helps the words pop out from the colorful background, which was certainly necessary for the design of this can. The yellow is repeated in the mans shirt, and the pink is repeated in his skin. This can brings with it the nostalgia some people have for the 1950's and 60's.
