This is the building directory for the first floor of the student union. It provides a lot of information, and can help lead you through the building when used properly. This directory has three distinct sections. It can tell you the room numbers of every room on the first floor, show you where those numbered rooms are, and tell you which floor the other rooms in the building are on. This means that if you are looking for a room that is not on the first floor, you can go to the floor this directory says it is on, and then find the directory on that floor for a new map the focuses only on that level. This directory also provides additional information, like the locations of baby changing stations, elevators, and help desks where further information can be gathered. I think this is a smart way to map out the building. Instead of having four maps on the same directory that show the entire building, this shows only one, which keeps the viewer from being distracted or overwhelmed by all of the visual information.
